ATLANTA — A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for much of the metro area until 11 p.m. Tuesday.
The storms are expected to bring heavy downpours, lightning and the possibility of hail.
By 6:15 p.m., several of the counties in the western part of the metro had been dropped from the watch, with more expected to be dropped as the night goes on.
Severe Weather Team 2 meteorologist David Chandley will be monitoring the storms throughout the evening.
