24-Year-Old Arrested In Atlanta Bank Robbery

ATLANTA — A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a bank robbery in Atlanta.

A Bank of America on Akers Mill Road was robbed shortly after 4 p.m. Wednesday, Cobb County police spokesman Joe Hernandez said in a news release.

Hernandez said a man gave a teller a note demanding money, Hernandez said. He said the teller then gave him an undisclosed amount of cash and the man fled the bank.

Police investigators later identified the man as Jesse Clarence Odum, of Atlanta. He was arrested on robbery charges and taken to the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
