ATLANTA — A winning Powerball ticket worth $1 million was sold in Mableton. Publix Super Market #0464, located at 5015 Floyd Road, sold a ticket that matched the first five winning numbers from the June 27 Powerball drawing.

The winner, Robert Bosarge of Mableton, claimed his $1 million prize Aug. 21 at Georgia Lottery headquarters in Atlanta.

Winning numbers from the June 27 Powerball drawing were: 18-28-35-46-49 and the Powerball was 27.

Wednesday’s drawing for the Powerball jackpot is an estimated $120 million to a single annuity winner.

As with all other Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Powerball will benefit education in the state of Georgia.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $16.5 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.7 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.4 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
