OPELIKA, Ala. — Auburn University's linebackers had plenty to celebrate Saturday night. The eighth-ranked Tigers improved to 3-0 with a 55-16 victory against Kent State, but the Auburn players got a thrill before kickoff when they met pro wrestling legend Ric Flair at the team hotel.
"He pulled up — he was at the team hotel, and it was so cool to meet him," Auburn linebacker Chandler Wooten told AL.com. "I was starstruck."
Wooten, along with fellow linebackers K.J. Britt and Josh Marsh -- plus linebackers coach Travis Williams -- caught up with the Nature Boy at the hotel after the game and took a photo with Flair, AL.com reported.
Flair, the 16-time world heavyweight wrestling champion and Hall of Famer, has become a familiar sight at Auburn. His stepson, Sebastian, is a freshman at the school, and Flair was seen on campus during orientation at the university.
“Wooooooo!!!!!” Williams wrote in a tweet, echoing Flair’s signature scream.
