Fernbank After Dark: Bones & Brews
Join Fernbank Museum for Bones & Brews, where local craft beers and colossal dinosaur bones come together for a night of prehistoric proportions. Roam the museum, dig into hands-on science, and let the night run wild. Ages 21+ only.
Fairburn Flava: Food Truck Friday
Guests are invited to the Frankie Arnold Stage & Courtyard for an evening packed with flavor and fun. A rotating lineup of local food trucks will bring a variety of cuisines and desserts to satisfy every craving, while a live DJ keeps the energy going all night long.

Aug. 14-16
Fans can look forward to alumni autograph sessions, an on-field presentation, the legends parade and more fun throughout! Alumni slated to appear include Dale Murphy, Chipper Jones, Andruw Jones, Tim Hudson and many more.
Aug. 15
Check out a high-energy, co-ed baseball competition coming to Truist Park as part of the Braves’ 2026 Alumni Weekend. The event will feature Braves alumni, Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) players, and collegiate baseball standouts competing in a fast-paced format built around power hitting, defensive prowess, and non-stop fan entertainment. Andruw Jones and Brian Jordan are among the team captains. The competition will include two semifinal matchups and a swing-off final. During each semifinal game, every player receives a 90-second at-bat while the opposing team plays defense. Teams score points through home runs, defensive catches and bonus targets, with a five-swing “Hot Streak” allowing points to be doubled. At the end of a game, the team with the most points wins. Fans attending the Braves’ Saturday, August 15 game against the Arizona Diamondbacks are encouraged to arrive early to watch MLBx: Atlanta on the field at Truist Park beginning at 5:30 p.m. A game ticket is required.

The vendors specialize in clothing and accessories from the 80s, 90s, and Y2K eras, while also offering a selection of toys, home goods, and more to complete your nostalgic shopping experience! Unleash your inner gamer at the Free-Play Vintage Arcade, and explore the Rad Rewind Museum with relics from the past. Strike rad poses at the throwback photo ops.
Downtown Live: Wings & Strings
Get ready for an unforgettable evening of live music at the FREE Wings & Strings Festival! The night will kick off with a special opening performance by Justin Monday , setting the perfect tone for the evening. Then, enjoy an incredible headlining performance by Donovan Fuller, bringing his signature sound and energy to the stage. Get ready to indulge as some of ATL’s top food vendors serve up mouthwatering chicken wings!
Funwoody will transform its outdoor courtyard into a community gathering place featuring live music from King St. Band, food and drinks from its collection of locally owned restaurants including; Bar{n} Booze {n} Bites, Morty’s Meat Supply, Message In a Bottle, {S}table, and Good Vibes Ice Cream Shop and Soda Pop, and opportunities for attendees to support Blessings in a Backpack, a nonprofit that helps provide weekend meals for children facing food insecurity.

The festival will feature approximately 200 artists including painters, photographers, sculptors, leather and metalworkers, glass blowers, jewelers, and crafters. Free to attend, the event features a lively children’s play area, food and drink options for all tastes, artist demonstrations and a DJ.

Enjoy live jazz by the acclaimed Brian Hudson Trio at the Kimpton Shane Hotel, paired with a real-time live painting experience where guests can watch a contemporary artwork come to life throughout the evening.

Seafood & BBQ Festival and Concert

A thriving two-day, in-town festival in historic Grant Park, organized by and benefiting the Grant Park Conservancy. The event brings together a variety of regional and local artist, food vendors, and music entertainment.
Aug. 27
The premier culinary event will return to The Hotel at Avalon, where the stylish hotel will transform the ballroom into a high-energy, all-inclusive evening featuring almost 30 Alpharetta-area restaurants along with beverage partners serving unlimited tastings throughout the night. Guests can expect chef-driven bites, decadent desserts, wine, beer, and cocktail tastings, interactive sponsor experiences, and live music.

Nitro Circus was co-founded by action sports icon Travis Pastrana and features elite athletes and world-class daredevils at the top of their game in Freestyle Motocross, BMX, Skate, Scooter, and everything in between. Nitro Circus features jaw-dropping stunts, top-tier athletes,never-been-done-before tricks, hilarious contraptions, and inspirational untold stories from the riders with unstoppable energy that will wow fans of all ages.
Aug. 29
The 21stAnnual MEAC/SWAC Challenge Kick-Off will feature the Alabama A&M University Bulldogs against the Howard University Bison – only the second appearance in the event’s history for each program. Alabama A&M enters its second season under head coach Sam Shade, while Howard embarks upon a new era under first-year head coach Ted White, a Howard alumnus and former quarterback.
The festival attracts an audience of 10,000+ for a full day of food, fun activities and live entertainment for the entire family. It is a wholesome celebration of the city of Mableton.

The Yellow Jackets open the 2026 season at home, welcoming in Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffalos.

Dragon Con is the largest multi-media, pop culture convention focusing on science fiction & fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, music, and film in the universe – and the best place to celebrate all of these things with fellow fans on Labor Day Weekend.

FoodieLand is a massive food festival, uniting local talent, small businesses, and global flavors in one vibrant experience. More than just a festival, FoodieLand is a gathering place where people come together to celebrate community through food, culture, and unforgettable moments.

Visit Circus Vazquez and step into a world where unforgettable moments happen right before your eyes and lasting memories are made at every performance! The production blends time-honored circus tradition with contemporary elements to create a vibrant entertainment experience for modern audiences. (It’s in Atlanta Sept. 18-Oct. 5.)
Sept. 5
You’ll see everything you can possibly imagine – and lots more that you couldn’t before you stepped out onto Peachtree Street that morning. Dragon Con attendees fill the streets with costumed characters. Parade starts at 10 am. Arrive early for front row seats.
College football kicks off with the battle at the Benz.
The Bulldogs kickoff the new year, hosting Tennessee State. Head to Athens to enjoy the game.
Sept. 5-6
The Children’s Museum of Atlanta’s annual fan-favorite TinyCON returns Labor Day weekend with imaginative fun designed especially for kids. The multi-day event brings fantasy, science fiction and make-believe universes to life through creative activities, character interactions and family-friendly programming. Costumes and cosplay are encouraged.
Sept. 6
WWE action returns to State Farm Arena!
Josh Okogie and the Okogie Family Foundation invite students, families, and community to attend our upcoming Summer Carnival, taking place at Shiloh High School on Sunday, September 6th, from 12–5 PM. This free community event is especially meaningful as it celebrates NBA player Josh Okogie and his connection to the Gwinnett community, returning to his alma mater, Shiloh High School, for an afternoon centered around families, youth, and community.

Pack a picnic and bring your family and friends to Piedmont Park for a program highlighting our City in the Forest by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Atlanta Food & Wine Festival is a four-day culinary extravaganza spotlighting incomparable food, wine, beer, and craft spirits of the South and beyond. From its signature walk-around Tasting Tents to Whiskey & Fire and other curated tasting experiences, this festival brings over 200 of the most celebrated chefs for a weekend savoring, sipping, and sharing in the flavors of the region.

Adventure Awaits! Movie Music for the Whole Family
Families are invited to an afternoon of adventure, heroes and movie music when the Georgia Symphony Orchestra presents Adventure Awaits! Movie Music for the Whole Family at the Jennie T. Anderson Theatre at the Cobb Civic Center. Selections from The Lord of the Rings, Spider-Man, Robin Hood, Wonder Woman and more will bring the excitement of the movies to life through the sound of a live symphony orchestra.
