Centennial Park District is kicking off a new era of football in ATL right as it celebrates the MBS opening, as well as the third anniversary of the College Football Hall of Fame and the first Atlanta Falcons home game with a day of football fun. The event features music by The Railers, interactive booths, marching bands, mascots and more this event is sure to create awe-inspiring memories for the whole family.

Have a pawsitively great time celebrating man's best friend on National Dog Day! Meet some special canine companions, enjoy some dancing with "who let the dogs out," learn fun doggie facts and more.

This week-long festival celebrates Atlanta as a mecca of film for people of color. The event showcases films, offers workshops and networking opportunities, panels and classes in film, direction and production.

#Gridlife Music and Motorsports Festival

Held at Road Atlanta in Braselton, #Gridlife melds together automotive passion and music with 3 days of camping, music and full automotive immersion. The festival is headlined by Ludacris and features pro drivers, cool interactive features, racing, meet and greets with renowned car folks and more.

Pigs and Peaches BBQ Festival

This shindig, held over two days in Adams park in Kennesaw, is the perfect way to celebrate end-of-summer, Georgia style. The 17-year-old festival features professional BBQ cooking contests as well as amateur and kids cooking competitions. Three music stages feature an impressive roster of artists including Shawn Mullins and a fireworks display rounds out the event on Saturday!

Saturday, August 26 and Sunday, August 27

There's something to enjoy for everyone at the annual Grant Park Summer Shade Festival. The event features food trucks, live music, a 5k, an artists' market, kids activities and more. Performers include Rubby Velle & Soulphonics, Michelle Malone and Blair Crimmons.

The British superstar behind mega-hits "Thinking Out Loud" and "The A Team" spends two nights at Gwinnett's Infinite Energy Center. He's joined by fellow Brit James Blunt.
