There’s always a reason to party in Atlanta, but Mardi Gras offers one of the more legitimate reasons to throw caution into the wind and celebrate.

Feb. 22
Celebrate Mardi Gras with Atlanta Bar Tours’ “Beads & Booze” pub crawl in Virginia Highland. More than 10 bars, restaurants and clubs are participating. The event includes complimentary shots, New Orleans themed specials, live music and more. Come dressed in your best Mardi Gras attire.
Head to Live! at the Battery Atlanta for your favorite Cajun dishes, VIP crawfish boil, live music, fortune tellers, drink specials and hurricanes all night long! Bring your beads.... you’re gonna need them!
Feb. 22 & 23
The entire weekend will be dedicated to all things New Orleans. All four bars on The Roof will feature Crescent City-inspired cocktail specials, including The Original Hurricane and Hand Grenades. Also, Cajun favorite Louisiana Gumbo will be available at Skyline Park’s Concession Stand. In addition, 9 Mile Station will be hosting a Recovery Brunch on Saturday and Sunday featuring the King Cake Sticky Bun, Shrimp Jambalaya and Gulf Oysters.
Feb. 25
SweetWater, LoCo Cookers and LA Crawfish are throwing a low country crawfish boil at the brewery. Live music on the patio, crawfish, corn, potatoes on the plate, and a celebration of all the fatness that Fat Tuesday has to offer!
Let the good times roll at Alpharetta’s mixed-use destination for “Mardi Gras at Avalon,” an annual celebration hosted on the last day of the Carnival season. This Fat Tuesday, the community is invited to experience The Boulevard as it transforms into Bourbon Street for a New Orleans-themed bash featuring jazzy tunes and specialty drinks. Participating restaurants include Barleygarden Kitchen and Craft Bar, Oak Steakhouse, True Food Kitchen, South City Kitchen, Marlow’s Tavern, Goldberg’s, Whole Foods Market and Ted’s Montana Grill.
From 3 to 5 p.m., Midtown office workers, visitors and residents are invited to celebrate New Orleans’ favorite holiday at Colony Square as the corner of 14th and Peachtree Streets transforms into Atlanta’s version of Bourbon Street for “Mardi Gras on the Square.” Festivities include live music by local brass band Atlanta CrawDaddy’s, Mardi Gras swag, Louisiana-inspired bites from The Popcorn Wagon, Lisa’s Crêperie and Sukoshi and NOLA-themed beverages such as the cult-favorite Hurricane.
