7 Muppets that need their own prime time series

The Muppets are back. Everyone's favorite fuzzy entourage returns to ABC on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. starting Sept. 21.

But if The Muppets are a hit, which Muppet could land their own spinoff? Here are some of the Muppets we'd like to see star in their own show.

1. Lew Zealand - because he's a boomerang fish thrower. Nothing else needs to be said.

2. Statler and Waldorf -- think of it as a Muppets version of Golden Girls.

3. Sam the Eagle - This seems like a show that Aaron Sorkin has to write. As Sam once said, "God Bless America and its magnificient broadcasting company."

4. David Hoggselhoff and Spamdela Hamderson- "Bay of Pigswatch" never made it to prime time despite an appearance on Muppets Tonight in 1996. Maybe it's time to bring it back.

5. The Muppet Newsman - Somewhere there's room for this guy on a cable news network.

6. Emmett Otter - He's the ultimate Muppet teenager. He plays in a band, he hates his job, he takes some risks to make his mother happy.
