Two people injured in a boat fire on Lake Lanier

HALL COUNTY, Ga. — Two people were injured in a boat fire at Lake Lanier Saturday.

Fire officials are said Saturday afternoon they were working to put out a boat fire at Lake Lanier. Hall County Fire Services, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Hall County Sheriff’s Office and Forsyth County were all called out to the scene.

The boat fire happened in the area of Big Creek Park. There is no word if the fire involve any other boats.

Two people have been transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. They are being treated for burn injuries.

The cause of the fire has not been determined at this time.
