DEKALB COUNTY, gA. — Police have released new details in a tragic shooting that left a little girl dead.
DeKalb County police said 5-year-old Jada Willingham was shot and killed inside a home on Madras Court in Lithonia on Friday.
According to investigators, the child and another 5-year-old girl found a gun in one of the rooms of the house. While the girl was playing with the gun, it went off, hitting Willingham in the face.

Willingham was rushed to the hospital where she later died.
Chad Brooks, Sr. was arrested and charged with murder in the second degree and cruelty to children in the second degree.
