Mom says young son caught substitute teacher watching porn in class

DeKALB COUNTY, Ga. — The Brookhaven Police Department is investigating a parent's complaint against a Montgomery Elementary School substitute teacher.

The male teacher is accused of viewing porn inside of a classroom with young students present.

A parent told police she was concerned after her 9-year-old son came home from school and told her that he saw his substitute teacher watching "naked women" in class.

The boy's mother said that her son approached the teacher's desk to ask to go to the restroom when he saw the teacher's computer.

The boy said that the teacher had no reaction to him seeing the content on his computer screen and continued watching.

The complaint stated that several other children saw the content that the teacher was watching.

The parent reported the incident to the Montgomery Elementary school's board of education and principal, but claims that there was no cooperation from them after nearly six weeks of waiting.

The principal interviewed all four kids along with the teacher, but days later when the parent followed up, she was advised that they could not tell her anything further about the incident other than that the sub would not teach at the school any longer.

The parent said she is not only worried about her son's school, but is afraid the man may be able to continue teaching at other schools.

The concerned mom did say that the school's principal said the sub admitted to watching the pornographic movie and further stated that the I.T. department came to the school and located the specific site that the teacher was watching.

School leaders contacted DeKalb school police.

The parent claims that she contacted Brookhaven police as a last resort after claiming that she received no support or information from DeKalb County.
