Dramatic video shows end of chase

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Video shows the end of what witnesses called a slow-speed chase  in Marietta.

C.J. Jones said he started recording on his phone the moment the car pulled up behind him.

While he was using his mirror to capture some of the action and swinging around as other officers arrived, a Taser went off.

Police had been chasing the driver, later identified as Miguel Sanchez, at slow speeds down the 120 loop before he hit traffic.

Police said Sanchez was driving erratically.

Sanchez was later charged with driving under the influence.

Police said suspects who use things like synthetic marijuana act irrational and violent.

"It just gives them unbelievable strength. Sometimes you fight with them and it takes six or seven people just to pin down one person, so I could see it could take three people just to get him out of that car," said Steve Gaynor of the Fraternal Order of Police.

Jones said he was disturbed to see three officers jump on Sanchez, but he's not condemning what they did.

"If there's not a weapon or anything like that, you know, certain force isn't necessary, but in that situation, not knowing why he's stopping or what's going on, I see both sides of it, you know,?” Jones said.
