NORTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — Police are investigating the death of a woman who was found in a Roswell front yard.
The home along Tyson Circle remained cordoned off Tuesday evening as crime scene detectives investigated what they said was a homicide of a woman.
"It's quite surprising. None of that ever happens here," neighbor Jason Esraghi told Channel 2’s Mike Petchenik.
Esraghi said he and his neighbors had come out of their homes Tuesday afternoon to find a large police presence in their neighborhood.
"(I’ve lived) seven years here. Never here, never heard of anything like that happening here," Esraghi said
Police said about 2:30 p.m. a man inside the home called 911.
When officers arrived, they found the woman’s body in the front yard.

Roswell police Officer Lisa Holland told Petchenik that detectives believe someone killed her but they don't know exactly how the woman, who was in her 40s, died.
"Right now, they are investigating what has happened. They're talking to any type of witnesses, neighbors, people that live in this neighborhood to find out what they can," Holland said.
Holland said they're interviewing the man who called 911. Eshraghi said the people who live in the home keep to themselves.
"It's a very rare case. I'm not very concerned," Eshraghi said.
Police have called in the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office to help them use technology to create a 3-D image of the scene.
At this point, police believe the incident was isolated and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
