ATLANTA, Ga. — Some severe storms were popping up in metro Atlanta Tuesday afternoon.
Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Brad Nitz said a severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Floyd County until 6:30 p.m.

According to Nitz, these storms could produce 60-mph winds and one-inch hail.

- Scattered showers and storms will pop up this afternoon and evening
- Drier air moves in Wednesday
- Isolated storms return late week
- Near 90 degrees this weekend
