ATLANTA — Severe storms moved through North Georgia Thursday night. Some were strong enough to cause the National Weather Service to issue a tornado warning for Gilmer, Murray, Gordon and Pickens counties.
Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brad Nitz said the storms moving through that area were showing rotation, but the warning was eventually canceled a little early.
Much of the northwestern part of the state was under a Level 1 risk for a severe storm Thursday. The storms moved out overnight,
