ATLANTA — Strong storms with heavy rain knocked down some trees and power lines as they moved through metro Atlanta Monday night.

Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brian Monahan said rain a high chance for rain will remain throughout the week.

The City of East Point is currently experiencing a power outage on Black Fox Trail due to a tree in the roadway. Crews have been notified and are currently in route to assess the situation.
5:17 p.m.
A Flash Flood Warning includes Fulton County and the cities of Atlanta, East Point, College Park, and Hapeville until 10:45 pm.
4:07 p.m.
A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for DeKalb, Fulton, Henry and Clayton counties until 4:30 p.m.
