...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY NIGHT
THROUGH LATE SUNDAY NIGHT...
* WHAT...A mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain. Total snow
accumulations of 1 to 2 inches, with up to 5 inches possible on
the highest ridges. Ice accumulations of up to 1/4 inch
possible. Wind gusts of 35 to 40 mph are expected as well.
* WHERE...Union, Towns, Lumpkin and White Counties.
* WHEN...Saturday night through Sunday night.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Hazardous driving conditions expected as
snow and ice accumulate, especially over bridges and overpasses.
Increasing winds Saturday night into Sunday would bring down
ice coated trees and powerlines.
