The Fentanyl Trail: A Channel 2 Primetime Special

Channel 2 Action News spent months investigating the fentanyl crisis. It is the most severe and deadly drug epidemic America has ever faced. Tuesday night at 10:30, Channel 2 anchors Justin Farmer and Jovita Moore host The Fentanyl Trail, a special program that takes an in-depth look at the drug pipeline to Georgia and what’s being done to try to stop it.

The shows takes viewers on the fentanyl trail starting in China where the chemicals are made, then on to Mexico where the drug cartel labs manufacture the drugs and then on to the smuggling routes on the Mexican U.S. border. Channel 2 Investigator Mark Winne gets inside access to the Feds as they battle cartels in the air, on horseback and at border check points.

Then, Channel 2’s Tom Regan reveals how fentanyl is brought into Georgia. He rides along with Georgia State Patrol to show viewers firsthand the serious challenges they face every day. Viewers will also see a semi-truck that they caught hauling a huge load of drugs into the metro area.

Plus, a new and urgent warning from the DEA about counterfeit pills. The information could save lives in Georgia and is something every person should know about.
