Top performances from Week 6

ATLANTA — It’s an outstanding week when Nick Chubb of Cedartown and Stanton Truitt of Monroe Area can score five touchdowns each and Deshaun Watson of Gainesville can throw six touchdown passes and not make the top five.

Here are some of the top individual performances from last week:

Top five

*Colquitt County DL Quinton Hampton had six sacks and seven total tackles for losses totaling 22 yards in a 37-7 victory over Lowndes. Hampton had 10 solo tackles and five assists in the game.

*Griffin QB Jaquez Parks rushed for a career-high 172 yards on 21 carries and scored three touchdowns in a 35-14 victory over third-ranked Stockbridge. He also completed 13 of 18 passes for 173 yards and two touchdowns.

*Hillgrove QB Elijah Ironside was 24-of-36 passing for 395 yards and seven touchdowns in a 63-28 victory over Campbell.

*North Cobb DB Latrell Gibbs intercepted four passes, a fifth that was nullified by penalty, and returned two for touchdowns and another to the 3-yard line in a 46-14 victory over Harrison. Gibbs also caught a 37-yard TD pass.

*North Oconee RB Kawon Bryant rushed for 372 yards and scored eight touchdowns on 33 carries in a 62-27 victory over Jackson County.

*Americus-Sumter QB Jonathan Thomas was 15-of-20 passing for 239 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for 63 yards in a 40-27 victory over Worth County.

*Cambridge QB Brian Moore was 32-of-49 passing for 310 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 115 yards in a 41-32 victory over Pope.

*Cedar Grove RB Deion Sellers rushed for 194 yards – his fifth consecutive game over 100 yards – on 22 carries in a 27-3 victory over Decatur.

*Cedartown RB Nick Chubb rushed for 369 yards on 28 carries and scored five touchdowns in a 42-28 victory over Southeast Whitfield.

*Central Gwinnett QB Eric Forrest was 26-of-34 passing for 333 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions in a 41-14 victory over South Gwinnett.

*Clarke Central RB Jaqua Daniels scored a school-record five touchdowns in 43-19 victory over Apalachee. Daniels rushed for 137 yards on 22 carries and caught a 23-yard pass.

*Dunwoody HB/DB Aaron Alexander rushed for 91 yards and scored two touchdowns, intercepted a pass and had a sack on defense in a 20-6 victory over Miller Grove.

*Dutchtown QB K’Lin Epps was 14-of-19 passing for 364 yards and four touchdowns in a 42-3 victory over Spalding. Brandon Robertson (172) and Rodel Shorter (142) had more than 100 yards receiving.

*Eagle’s Landing QB Bradley Dewberry threw four TD passes and was 12-of-23 passing for 210 yards in a 31-10 victory over Riverdale. Dewberry also caught a 20-yard pass.

*Eagle’s Landing Christian DL Andrew Williams had five tackles for losses and three sacks in a 34-14 victory over Holy Innocents’.

*ECI RB Michael Sutton rushed for 201 yards on 26 carries, and RB James Brown ran for 150 on 19 in a 42-21 victory over Portal. Both scored two touchdowns.

*Etowah QB John Oliver rushed for 131 yards, was 7-of-8 passing for 151 yards and scored on an 80-yard run in a 38-36 victory over Roswell.

*Gainesville QB Deshaun Watson threw six TD passes and completed 27 of 31 attempts for 314 yards in a 48-7 victory over Heritage of Conyers. Watson played only one series in the second half.

*Hart County QB Dakota Mitchell was 6-of-10 passing for 164 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 41 yards and a touchdown on seven carries in a 41-20 victory over Franklin County.

*Hillgrove WR Omar Black caught four touchdown passes and had six catches for 115 yards in a 63-28 victory over Campbell.

*Johnson County QB Michael Taylor passed for 123 yards and rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns in a 14-7 victory over Savannah Christian.

*Lamar County QB Lance Austin rushed for 141 yards and three touchdowns on seven carries and made four tackles in a 40-14 victory over Taylor County.

*Lassiter QB Will Anderson was 26-for-34 passing for 364 yards and five touchdowns in a 44-43 loss to Woodstock. WR Quincy Perdue had eight catches for 157 yards and three touchdowns.

*Locust Grove QB Tyler Sellers threw five TD passes and a conversion while completing 24 of 34 attempts for 341 yards in a 43-14 victory over North Clayton. The yardage and TD passes are school records.

*Lovett RB/DB Grant Haley rushed for 141 yards on four carries, scored on a 99-yard run, forced a fumble, recovered a fumble, intercepted a pass and returned a punt 29 yards in a 35-13 victory over Fort Payne, Ala.

*Luella LB Wendell Mitchell had 21 tackles, 3.5 for losses, and intercepted a pass in a 34-31 loss to Alcovy.

*Macon County OLB Jaqwan Roberts had 11.5 tackles, 3.5 for losses, and 1.5 sacks in the first half of a 51-0 victory over Crawford County.

*Marion County RB Johnny Royal rushed for 200 yards and three touchdowns on 33 carries in a 35-8 victory over Greenville.

*Mary Persons RB Dee High rushed for 111 yards and four touchdowns on 15 carries in a 48-0 victory over Howard.

*Mays DL Brandon Bradley had nine tackles for losses and DL Natrez Patrick had four with two sacks and a blocked punt that he returned 64 yards for a touchdown in a 43-0 victory over North Atlanta.

*Monroe Area QB Stanton Truitt scored five touchdowns and rushed for 277 yards in a 56-28 victory over Lanier.

*Mundy’s Mill RB Rodney Smith rushed for 166 yards and scored two touchdowns and WR Eric Tate had six catches for 126 yards and two touchdowns in a 28-27 loss to McIntosh.

*North Paulding QB Chase Noonan was 12-of-14 passing for 193 yards and three touchdowns in a 56-0 victory over Woodland of Cartersville. He also scored a touchdown and rushed for 42 yards on five carries.

*Northeast QB/DB Davion Anderson passed for 120 yards, rushed for 60 and intercepted two passes, returning one for a 61-yard touchdown, in a 29-6 victory over Monticello.

*Northside of Warner Robins RB Glenn Smith rushed for 227 yards and three touchdowns in a 54-26 victory over Lakeside of Evans.

*Northwest Whitfield QB Caleb Shiflett was 17-of-22 passing for 333 yards and a school-record five TDs in a 54-14 victory over River Ridge.

*Perry WR K.J. Smith caught four passes for 165 yards and ran for 51-yard touchdown in a 41-35 victory over Baldwin.

*Pickens RB Shannon Brooks rushed for 261 yards and four touchdowns on 35 carries in a 41-28 victory over Ridgeland.

*Pierce County QB Tyler Harris was 16-of-27 passing for 302 yards and three touchdowns in a 49-6 victory over Tattnall County.

*Randolph-Clay RB Cornelius Bennett rushed for 190 yards and three touchdowns in a 44-36 victory over Barbour County, Ala.

*Richmond Hill QB Nick Fitzgerald rushed for 162 yards and five touchdowns on 27 carries and completed two of five passes, both for touchdowns, and 90 yards in a 47-28 victory over Glynn Academy.

*South Paulding QB Chandler Burks was 24-of-32 passing for 391 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns in a 48-45 overtime victory over Allatoona.

*Thomasville RB Mario Cherry rushed for 213 yards and two touchdowns on 36 carries in a 21-14 victory over Cook.

*Toombs County RB Jamar Smith rushed for 251 yards and scored four touchdowns on 24 carries in a 47-8 victory over Jeff Davis.

*Troup RBs Dre Downs (145 yards, 18 carries, two touchdowns) and Daryl Dunlap (143 years, 23 carries, three touchdowns) each went over 140 yards in a 37-10 victory over Alexander.

*Vidalia RB Tra Hardy scored six touchdowns, rushed for 183 yards on 17 carries and caught a 55-yard TD pass in a 55-26 victory over Metter.

*Wayne County QB Malique Jackson threw five TD passes and completed 11 of 21 attempts for 222 yards in a 49-17 victory over Richmond Academy. Krenwick Sanders had six catches for 172 yards and four touchdowns.

*Westover Jysanti Richardson intercepted two passes in 14-9 victory over Cairo. It was Westover’s first victory over Cairo in 20 years.
