A clash of the Tigers is set for tonight as No. 1 Louisiana State University and No. 3 Clemson meet in the College Football Playoff National Championship.

This is the first year LSU has made the College Football Playoff. It dominated Oklahoma in a 63-28 win in the Peach Bowl semifinal in Atlanta to make it to the championship.

LSU last won a national title in the 2007 BCS National Championship over Ohio State.
