Former Georgia Tech star Calvin Johnson will be on the this fall's edition of "Dancing with the Stars."
Johnson, who retired unexpectedly from the NFL after nine seasons in March, is expected to partner with Lindsay Arnold, according to Entertainment Tonight.
Among the other expected stars on this year's show are Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte, actress Marilu Henner and former Texas Gov. Rick Perry.
Johnson was the second overall pick of the 2007 draft out of Georgia Tech. The six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver with the Detroit Lions holds the single-season receiving record (1,964 yards).
Johnson, who grew up in Tyrone, had planned to move back to Atlanta and hopes to complete his business management degree from Georgia Tech -- he’s 30 credits shy -- starting this fall.
Johnson is the latest in a long line of NFL stars to join the ABC reality series. Jerry Rice, Emmitt Smith, Hines Ward, Antonio Brown, Donald Driver and Jason Taylor have all competed. Smith won season two of the show.
