Atlanta Braves win streak hits 13 and Twitter loves it

ATLANTA — School is back and it hardly seems like we had a summer, but that doesn't matter for Atlanta Braves fans who are now focused on October.

The Braves swept the Nationals in Washington on Wednesday with a 6-3 win and they now have a 15½-game lead in the NL East.

The Braves return to Atlanta on their longest winning streak since 2000 when they won 15 straight.

The team gets a day off before they begin a nine game homestand. Oh yeah, they're 38-15 at Turner Field, the best home record in baseball.

Fans may have noticed the Braves have been nearly as successful on social media. The last 13 games have been a Twitter victory unless you are 1) Frank Wren 2) @Braves social media guy or 3) National's outfielder Bryce Harper.

Some fans are giving a new Waffle House restaurant at Turner Field all the credit.
