• 2017 Atlanta Falcons schedule released


    ATLANTA - The Atlanta Falcons have a lot to look forward to in 2017.

    Almost all of the players that led the team to Super Bowl LI are returning.

    And they’re opening a brand new state-of-the-art stadium in 2017. 


    The Falcons, coming off an 11-5 record and the franchise’s second trip to the Super Bowl, have several exciting games on the schedule.

    The New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins round out the home schedule.

    The Falcons will visit the New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers, Seattle Seahawks, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, New York Jets and New England Patriots.

    The defending Super Bowl Champs will open the 2017 NFL season on Thursday, Sept. 7. According to ESPN, the Falcons are not expected to play in that game. The Pats are expected to host the Kansas City Chiefs.

    WEEK 1: at Chicago Bears, Sept. 10, 1 p.m.

    WEEK 2: Green Bay Packers, Sept. 17, 8:30 p.m. (first regular season game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium)

    WEEK 3: at Detroit Lions, Sept. 24, 1:00 p.m

    WEEK 4: Buffalo Bills, Oct. 1, 1:00 p.m.

    WEEK 5: BYE 

    WEEK 6: Miami Dolphins, Oct. 15, 1:00 p.m.

    WEEK 7: at New England Patriots, Oct. 22, 8:30 p.m.

    WEEK 8: at New York Jets, Oct. 29, 1:00 p.m.

    WEEK 9: at Carolina Panthers, Nov. 5, 1:00 p.m.

    WEEK 10: Dallas Cowboys, Nov. 12, 4:25 p.m.

    WEEK 11: at Seattle Seahawks, Nov. 20, 8:30 p.m.

    WEEK 12: Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Nov. 26, 1:00 p.m.

    WEEK 13: Minnesota Vikings, Dec. 3, 1:00 p.m.

    WEEK 14: New Orleans Saints, Dec. 7, 8:25 p.m.

    WEEK 15: at Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dec. 18, 8:30 p.m.

    WEEK 16: at New Orleans Saints, Dec. 24, 1:00 p.m.

    WEEK 17: Carolina Panthers, Dec. 31, 1:00 p.m.

    The Falcons’ 2017 preseason schedule was released earlier this month.

    Atlanta opens the preseason on Thursday, Aug. 10 at 7 p.m. against the Miami Dolphins. The game will be played at Hard Rock Stadium.

    The Falcons will then travel to Heinz Field on Sunday, Aug. 20 at 4 p.m. to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers.

    The first-ever game at the MBS will be Saturday, Aug. 26 at 7 p.m. against the Arizona Cardinals.

    The final preseason game will also be at home, on Thursday, Aug. 31 at 7 p.m. against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
