• Zoo Atlanta searching for missing owl

ATLANTA - Zoo Atlanta is looking for a missing Barn Owl.

Zoo officials say 2-year-old Soren flew away from his trainers during a flight session on Sunday.

The owl was last tracked to an area on Cherokee Avenue late Sunday afternoon and officials believe he may still be in the area.

They say he may no longer be wearing his tracking equipment.

Soren is about 10 inches tall and is most likely to be seen in leafy branches high in the trees, according to the Zoo.

He is wearing two leather anklets, one on each foot, and has a gold band on his left foot.

It you spot Soren, do not approach him because he is fearful of strangers. Call Zoo Atlanta immediately at 404-624-5670.
