Winning ticket worth $2.5M sold in Hall County

ATLANTA — A winning Georgia Lottery ticket worth millions was sold in Hall County. Minit Save, located at 3756 Atlanta Highway in Flowery Branch, sold a Lucky Loot instant ticket with a $2.5 million top prize.

The lucky winner, Jan Wilson of Lula, claimed her prize April 17 at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Duluth.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $15.3 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.6 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.3 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
