The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has issued a public health alert due to concerns that a fully cooked, ready-to-eat chicken salad product sold at Trader Joe’s may contain cashews that are not declared on the label.
The product was not recalled since it is no longer available for purchase, according to the FSIS notice.
The alert concerns the 12-oz. clear plastic trays of “TRADER JOE’S Wine Country WHITE CHICKEN SALAD WITH Cranberries & Pecans.” The chicken salad was made on March 4 and has a best-by date of 3/12/2023.
The alert says the chicken salad has the establishment number “P-34834″ inside the USDA mark of inspection. The product was shipped to retail locations in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington.
There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions.
