Former quarterback Michael Vick will be honored at the upcoming Pro Bowl, despite more than 566,000 signatures on a Change.org petition.
That is the word from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, WPVI reported.
The NFL suspended him for his role in dogfighting but reinstated him in 2009 with the Eagles. He retired from the NFL and the Falcons in 2017. He had a role with the Kansas City Chiefs before becoming an analyst with Fox Sports, the Post reported.
He has also become an animal rights activist and works with the Humane Society, the Post reported.
Vick will join Terrell Davis, Darrell Green and Bruce Smith as honorary captains at the game on Jan. 26 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, the NFL announced last month.
