John Travolta thanks fans for support on first Thanksgiving since wife Kelly Preston’s death

John Travolta said he had many reasons to be thankful, even during a difficult year. On Thanksgiving Day, the 66-year-old actor went on social media to thank his fans for their support since the death of his wife.

Travolta posted a video on his Instagram page, wishing fans a happy Thanksgiving and thanking them for their support since the death of his wife, Kelly Preston, in July, People reported. Preston died after a two-year battle with breast cancer on July 12. She was 57.

“I want to take this moment to thank each and every one of you for supporting me in such an incredible way this year,” Travolta said in the video. “Happy Thanksgiving and always love.”

Travolta and Preston were married for nearly 29 years, People reported.

The couple had a daughter, Ella Bleu, 20, and a son, Benjamin, 10, the magazine reported. Their son Jett died in January 2009. He was 16.

Travolta also went on Instagram earlier this month to wish Benjamin a happy birthday, E! Online reported.
