Former Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale hospitalized after threat to harm self, police say

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Brad Parscale, U.S. President Donald Trump’s former campaign manager, was hospitalized Sunday following an incident at his Florida home, multiple media outlets reported.

According to The New York Times, Parscale’s wife called police, whom she told her husband had a gun and intended to harm himself.

Police Sgt. DeAnna Greenlaw told The Washington Post that Parscale was hospitalized under the state’s Baker Act, which allows anyone deemed to be a threat to themselves or others to be detained for 72 hours for psychiatric evaluation.

Parscale, who was demoted from campaign manager in July, has been helping run the campaign’s digital operation.

“Brad Parscale is a member of our family, and we love him,” Trump campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh told the Post, adding, “We are ready to support him and his family in any way possible.”
