Petito was believed to be last seen in Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park, KCNC reported. But the last confirmed location for Petito was on Aug. 24 when the couple had checked out a Salt Lake City hotel.

She was on a multi-state trip with her boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, as they traveled from Florida to the West Coast over the summer, but was reported missing on Sept. 11.

Her mother contacted authorities after not receiving text messages after Aug. 30 and after Laundrie returned home to North Point, Florida, without Petito, on Sept. 1.

He was driving his girlfriend’s van, which has since been seized by police when he returned, KCNC reported.

Laundrie was named a person of interest and has a lawyer. Police said he has not been cooperating with investigators.

“We don’t know what Brian knows. That’s the bottom line,” North Port police public information officer Josh Taylor said in a news conference, according to BuzzFeed. “We need to know exactly where he was, where she was, their last locations.”

“We asked to speak with Brian and his family, we were essentially handed the information for their attorney,” Taylor said. “That is the extent of our conversation with them. It is my understanding we have had some conversations with his attorney, but certainly nothing to the level of providing us with the details we would like.”

Florida police have not searched for Petito since they said they do not know where to start, KCNC reported.

North Port Police Chief Todd Garrison said they’re following leads.

A body camera video, provided by police who responded to reports of an argument near the Arches National Park in Moab, Utah, was released this week. It was recorded on Aug. 12, The Washington Post reported.

The Grand County Sheriff’s Office in Utah is also looking to see if there is a connection between Petito’s disappearance and a recent double homicide in the county, KTVX reported.

The argument between Petito and Laundrie happened outside the Moonflower Co-op, the same location where one of the homicide victims worked, KTVX reported.

“The Sheriff’s Office is not ruling anything out at this time,” the Grand County Sheriff’s office said in a statement, according to the news station.

The FBI Denver office is now working with the Teton County Sheriff’s Office, the Jackson Police Department, the National Park Service and other law enforcement agencies to look for the missing YouTube personality, KDVR reported.

KSTU reported the FBI is now the lead agency.

Petito and Laundrie were known for their YouTube series “Van Life,” BuzzFeed reported.
