Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., announced the end Monday of his bid for the 2020 presidential nomination and vowed to throw his support behind the eventual nominee.
“I can’t wait to get back on the campaign trail and campaign as hard as I can for whoever is the eventual nominee and for candidates up and down the ballot,” Booker said in a video posted Monday on social media. He called his White House bid “one of the most meaningful experiences of my life.”
Booker, who joined the presidential race in February 2019, struggled to gain support in the crowded Democratic field.
“Now I recommit myself to the work,” he said Monday.
