CLEVELAND, Ohio — Nearly 17 months after a 6-year-old Ohio girl was shot and killed in her Cleveland home, authorities have charged a second suspect in connection with her death.
According to WOIO and the Plain Dealer, authorities issued a warrant Tuesday for the arrest of Angel Cannon, 22, of University Heights, who faces an aggravated murder charge in Lyric-Melodi Lawson’s death. Cannon has not yet been taken into custody, the Plain Dealer reported.
Investigators said Cannon was driving the car early Oct. 5, 2019, when passengers Raysean Howard and another person, who has not been identified, opened fire into the home as Lawson, who had guests over for a slumber party, was sleeping, according to the newspaper. Lawson suffered a gunshot wound to the head and died, authorities said.
