EASTHAM, Mass. — Massachusetts is famous for its lobsters, but blue lobsters are a rare find.
When Nathan Nickerson III opened his seafood shipment last week he was shocked to see a blue lobster was included.
Well looky here—a BLUE lobster 😮! (Only 1 in every 2 million is blue!) This was brought into us after being caught in the Atlantic. Stop in to see it in person!

"I said, 'I think we have something special here.' I couldn't believe the color. Everyone was circling around it, just wondering, 'How did this happen?'" Nickerson told CNN.
Nickerson said he would like to donate it to the St. Louis aquarium, but has not contacted them yet.
In the meantime, he’s going to keep the lobster at his restaurant, Arnold's Lobster and Clam Bar, in Eastham, Massachusetts.
Blue lobsters occur due to a genetic mutation and it's estimated only one out of every 2 million lobsters is blue.
