The FBI also released a map and a timeline, according to a news release.
Wesley Dallas Ayers, 26, of Anderson, admitted to putting homemade bombs in several areas of Anderson County in early 2018, according to WSPA.
Ayers received a 30-year prison sentence in February when he appeared in federal court, the television station reported.
According to an FBI news release, Ayers planted six devices between Jan. 24, 2018, and Feb. 24, 2018. Three were identified as bombs, while the other three were determined to be hoaxes.
In the release, the FBI said the teddy bear was left in a basket in the middle of the road, weeks after a man was injured by another bomb Ayers created.
The victim’s leg was burned in the explosion.
This was deliberately placed where a child or passerby could have found it. Fortunately, someone saw it and knew to call us,” FBI Special Agent Christopher Derrickson said in the release.
Another device was found hidden inside a teddy bear on Feb. 15, 2018, the FBI said.
According to the FBI, DNA and other forensic evidence connected Ayers to the devices, WYFF reported.
Agents who searched Ayers' property also found items used to make bombs, the television station reported.
