'Creepy' skull satellite image of Hurricane Matthew has people freaking out

As Hurricane Matthew makes landfall in Haiti, a satellite image of the storm has one meteorologist calling it "the most creepy satellite image I've ever seen."

The image was posted on Twitter by Stu Ostro, a self-proclaimed weather geek and senior meteorologist with The Weather Channel, and later shared by Twitter user who was watching a local news in Florida.

Many said the image resembled a skull, but others said it looked like the Grinch or Jack Skellington from Tim Burton's "The Nightmare Before Christmas."

Although some were quick to call Photoshop on the image, a meteorologist at WDRB and one at WINK say they have confirmed it's real. But varying versions of the image show the image, if it is real, has at least been altered in color.
