Paul "Triple H" Levesque, WWE executive vice president of talent, presented Ned Peppers' bouncer Jeremy "Pitbull" Ganger professional wrestler for more than a decade, with an NXT Title belt and named him an honorary champion, Wednesday, Nov. 6 at WWE NXT in Orlando.
Levesque introduced Ganger as a “real hero” who saved countless lives the night of the Oregon District shooting.
Ganger entered the ring to claps and a chant of his name and later, "Thank you, Jeremy."
"Normally we reserve things like this for Super Bowl champions or World Series champions, but you are a man whose heroism far surpasses anything that can happen on [the] field or in this ring," Levesque said in a video posted to the WWE on Fox Twitter page. "That is why we would like to make you an honorary NXT champion."
A 24-year-old Bellbrook man killed nine people and injured dozens of others with a pistol modified to act as an assault weapon.

Ganger rushed to take a semi-automatic pistol that police say was modified to act like a rifle away from Connor Betts after Betts was shot by police.
