Rockdale deputies seek help to ID body found in fire

ROCKDALE CO., Ga. — The Rockdale County Sheriff's Office is asking for help to identify the body of a man found burning in a small fire Sunday night.

Deputies were called to a fire off Highway 212 near Susong Road around 6 p.m.

Deputies found the body in the fire. They said it is believed to be the body of a man, but no other identifying information is available.

The Sheriff's Office said the death is considered to be suspicious, but cause of death has not been determined pending the outcome of an autopsy.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 770-278-8000.
