Douglas D.A. to announce retirement

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. — Douglas County District Attorney David McDade will announce his retirement Wednesday afternoon, according to Channel 2's Mark Winne.

McDade's attorney, Drew Findling, has called a news conference for 4 p.m. at his Buckhead office, saying that the district attorney will announce the retirement through his attorney.

McDade has been the focus of a GBI investigation requested by McDade himself after news reports questioned his use of funds forfeited by criminals, and Findling will also announce that there will be no grand jury presentation coming from the investigation.
