HUFFMAN, Texas — A fire broke out Sunday night at a suburban Houston home belonging to former heavyweight boxing champion George Foreman, KTRK reported.
There were about 40 cars in the garage when it caught fire, KHOU reported.
No injuries were reported, according to KPRC. The cause of the fire is unknown.
It was the second tragedy to hit the Foreman family in a month.
On March 11, Foreman's daughter, Freeda Foreman, also a former professional boxer, was found dead in her Texas home.
George Foreman, 70, a member of the World Boxing Hall of Fame and the International Boxing Hall of Fame, won a gold medal in the heavyweight division at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City. On Jan. 22, 1973, he knocked down Joe Frazier six times to score a technical knockout and win the heavyweight title in Kingston, Jamaica. He lost the title to Muhammad Ali in 1974, but 20 years later stunned Michael Moorer to regain the crown.
