ATLANTA - One Atlanta nurse is touching the hearts of so many by knitting adorable costumes for babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Tara Fankhauser has worked in the NICU at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite for 5 years now, and first started this tradition last Halloween.

The hospital said Fankhauser typically spends anywhere between a couple of hours to a full day on each costume. This year, she’s made more than 30 costumes.
Among those include Pinocchio, a pumpkin, baseball and gumball machine.
Using Pinterest for inspiration, Fankhauser starts knitting in the spring and keeps going, right up to Halloween.
