• Man Shot In Head In NW Atlanta

    ATLANTA - Atlanta police said two people were shot outside a home in northwest Atlanta.

    Shortly before 9 p.m. Wednesday, investigators said they received a report of two people shot in the 1500 block of Ezra Church Drive.

    Police said they believe the shooters were in a Jeep and opened fire on the two men.

    A bullet ricocheted off something and hit one man in the head, police said. The other man was shot in the leg.

    Police said both men are expected to survive.

    Channel 2 Action News reporter Ryan Young said he counted at least 10 shell casings at the crime scene.

    A witness told Young that she dialed 911 and saw several gunmen jump into a truck and flee the scene. The witness said she was able to write down the license tag number for police.

    One person was taken into custody.

    Witnesses said there were lots of children in the area when the shooting happened.
