• Man Found Dead In Kudzu Patch

CONYERS, Ga. - Conyers police are searching for people suspected of being involved in a fight with a man whose dead body was later discovered in a kudzu patch.

Police Chief Gene Wilson identified one suspect as 36-year-old Sylvester Leon Henderson.

The incident began just after midnight Tuesday when Conyers police responded to a report of a fight on Villa Pines Court. They found blood at an intersection, but no victim.

Witnesses told police they saw a man being put into the back of a car before police arrived.

Hours later, police said an "acquaintance" led officers to the body of Derrick Bernard Brown in a kudzu patch in Lawrenceville. The cause of death will be determined by the Rockdale County coroner.
