• Man Dies After Burn Attack

    GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - Gwinnett County police said a man who was beaten and set on fire in his apartment complex parking lot has died.

    Michael Peters, 49, of Lilburn, died Wednesday from the injuries he received June 16.

    Cpl. Brian Kelly of the Gwinnett County Police Department said a passer-by saw Peters in the parking lot of the Brentwood Downs Apartments on Lake Knoll Drive and called 911.

    Officials said it appeared Peters had been beaten and then set on fire.

    No arrests have been made.
