Woman sent to hospital after pit bulls attack

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A woman had to be rushed to the hospital Tuesday after two pit bulls attacked her as she stood in her own yard.

Evette Bryant, who is in her 60s,  said she was talking with her neighbor at her mailbox on Shamrock Drive in DeKalb County and was holding her grandson's hand when the two dogs approached them and attacked.

Bryant said she barely made it into her house with her grandson. She said when she turned around, she could see the dogs biting at her neighbor's legs and arms.

The dogs also chased after Anthony Daniels, who said he couldn't fight off the dogs either.

Bryant said her neighbor was rushed to the hospital for the bites.
