• GSP: Car that hit I-85 pedestrian did not stop

A pedestrian crash shut down Interstate 85 northbound for nearly two hours Friday morning.

A witness told Channel 2’s Steve Gehlbach they saw something fall out of a car, but did not initially realize it was a woman.
Northbound lanes were closed at Sylvan Road from around 8:15 a.m. until just after 10 a.m.

Georgia State Patrol said the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle, which left the scene. GSP does not have a description of the vehicle.

The pedestrian was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
