BARROW COUNTY, Ga. — It’s great to see the different ways coaches motivate their players to succeed on the field. But the way one local youth football coach showed his support takes the cake.
David Garrett coaches the 9U Winder-Barrow Bulldogs and during a game this weekend, he went the extra mile for one of his players. Literally.
No. 20 Tyler Goolsby was able to break away on a long run and sprinted down the field for his third touchdown of the game. Coach Garrett stayed with him every step of the way by running right alongside Goolsby until he scored.
Goolsby’s mom shared the video of the incredible moment with Channel 2 Sports Director Zach Klein. The Bulldogs won their game 37-0 with Goolsby and Garrett looking to get back to the endzone on Saturday.
If the Atlanta Falcons are looking for more speed on their roster, they might want to give Garrett a call.
