BUNDLE UP!: Metro Atlanta to see wind chills in the 30s Sunday morning!

ATLANTA — Metro Atlanta through north Georgia will feel some of the coldest temperatures in six months Sunday morning.

Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Katie Walls says temperatures will fall into the low 30s in the northeast Georgia mountains. A freeze warning will be in effect starting at 12:00 a.m. Sunday for Fannin, Gilmer, Towns and Union Counties.

Temperatures in metro Atlanta will be in the upper 30s to low 40s, but wind chills will be in the 30s.

In other words, bundle up!

“I expect Sunday morning to be our coldest in Atlanta since April 17, about six months ago,” Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Monahan said.

Luckily, we can expect gloomy weather to clear by Sunday afternoon giving way to a breezy, chilly afternoon with highs in the low 60s.
