ATLANTA — Thursday was the worst day to travel in Atlanta, according to AAA.
The company said 115.6 million people, which is more than ever on record in the U.S., traveled this holiday season. AAA began tracking the number of travelers in 2000.
More than 104 million of those people were predicted to hit the roads Thursday.
Delays were the worst this afternoon, with delays reaching nearly double the amount of time your drive would normally take, according to INRIX, a global transportation analytics company.
INRIX broke down the worst times to drive in major cities – and today between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. was the worst in Atlanta.
