3 teens arrested in connection to deadly shooting, robbery of Georgia man

BLECKLEY COUNTY, Ga. — Three teenagers have been arrested and face several charges in connection to a shooting and robbery, investigators said.

The U.S. Marshals arrested Dashawn Adams, 16, Kameryn Ke’mauri Mims, 17, and Taquez Mentrae Moore Jr., 19, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

On Oct. 29, police got a call about a person shot at 112 Ell Street in Bleckley County. When officers arrived, they found a man, identified as Kavontez Deshaveon Farrow, 24, who had been shot.

He was taken to Bleckley Memorial Hospital where he died.

The investigation revealed that the victim was standing outside when he was shot and robbed of a firearm.

The GBI said the teens are facing several charges, including malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, armed robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, violation of the street gang terrorism and prevention act, and violation of the street gang terrorism and prevention act.

The Cochran Police Department and Bleckley County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation.
