Teen hit by pickup truck near Henry County school

HENRY COUNTY, Ga. — Henry County police say a teen walking home from school was hit by a pickup truck Wednesday afternoon.
 
According to authorities, the 17-year-old was walking along Tunis Road near Eagles Landing Middle School and then darted out into traffic. A pickup truck was unable to avoid striking the boy.
 
The victim was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
 
The driver stopped at the scene.
 
The incident is under investigation, but the Henry County Police Traffic Investigators are advising that no charges will be filed on the driver.
